Athi Water and Tatu City Forge Strategic Water Partnership For Sustainable Development

Today the Board Chairperson Charles Karondo led the Board of Directors and the Management of Athi Water Works Development on a strategic engagement with Tatu City management and Tatu City Water and Sanitation Company (TATUWASCO).
The highlight of the engagement is the bulk water purchase agreement facilitated through the Karimenu II Dam Bulk Water System. This agreement ensures the provision of up to 4 million litres of clean water per day to Tatu City, a significant stride in addressing water needs in the sprouting area
During the engagement, the AWWDA team was briefed on the various milestones and initiatives underway at Tatu City, showcasing the commitment to sustainable development. A guided tour of the establishment further enlightened the AWWDA representatives on the substantial investments and development projects being undertaken.
Among the key figures present at the engagement were AWWDA Board of Directors, including Isaac Odek, Eng. James Wainaina, Felister Mwangi, Simon Mukhwana, and Dr. Boaz Cheluget, alongside AWWDA’s Ag. Chief Executive Officer Eng. Joseph Kamau and management staff. Representing Tatu City were Rendeavour Founder & CEO Stephen Jennings and top management of Tatu City, among others.
