On 5th May 2023, the AWWDA Board Chairperson Hon. Patrick Mbangula received a cheque contribution of Kshs. 50,000 from Postbank Kenya towards the Karimenu II Dam tree planting and catchment conservation campaign.

AWWDA in collaboration with other partners plans to plant 200,000 indigenous trees within the Karimenu Dam Catchment. So far, 36,000 trees have been planted within the dam area with a survival rate of 90%.
