AWWDA hosted a breakfast consultative meeting with Members of the National Assembly from Nairobi to discuss the status of water projects and the way forward.
The leaders were briefed on the ongoing projects as well as planned projects and what to expect in future. They expressed satisfaction in project implementation specifically with the water interventions to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
The project has provided access to free clean water to 1.2 million residents living in the informal settlements. It involved drilling and equipping of 193 boreholes and construction of elevated tanks to supply an additional 22.6million litres of water per day. The meeting was attended by Members of National Assembly from Nairobi, AWWDA Board Members and Management.
